Getting to Mazatlan by Air...
Unless you are traveling with a package tour, flights to Mazatlan can be expensive. Consider buying separate tickets from your city of origin to Los Angeles or Phoenix, then continue on a separate fare to Mazatlan. For travel to these cities, fares from cities served by Southwest and other discount airlines are usually much lower than other fares into Mazatlan. Additionally, travelers coming from cities outside the US may often find lower airfares into Los Angeles than into Mexico City or any other Mexican city. After Arriving at Mazatlan Airport
- You will go through Mexican Immigration
- Proceed to the luggage claim area
- Take your bags and go through Mexican Customs.
- Once you clear customs, you will be met by representative from El Salto Lodge, who will be holding a sign for easy recognition.
- Check in with this representative who will have the ground transportation staff pick up your bags and load them into the van.
- Your trip to El Salto Lodge will be much like any other airport shuttle ride, except that the van will be stocked with refreshments. Your fun begins here!
